Mary J. Blige (Mary J. Blige) was born in New York, Bronx, Jan. 11, 1971. Her early childhood was spent in Savannah, Ga., where she moved with her mother and older sister in Yonkers, New York. Life had never been spoiled. Childhood and youth were held in skirmishes with their peers and left not one scar, not only on the body but the soul, Mary J. Blige. Middle school is not finished, prefer to hang out on the street without cause. The only thing that gave her pleasure - to do hairstyles to their friends and girlfriends. Once, quite by chance she had the idea to write on the karaoke machine version of the songs of Anita Baker (Anita Baker) “Caught up in the Rapture”. Her stepfather decided to show this tape Andre Harrell (Andre Harrell), the head of record label Uptown Records. As in all such stories, the legend says that Harrell was fascinated by the voice of the young Mary and quickly signed her contract. For a start, though, she trusted only the role of backing vocalist in the local teams, Father MC for example.
